Reiki is a Japanese word that means “spiritual energy”. Rei translates as spiritual and Ki translates as energy. Ki in Japanese is the same as Chi in Chinese. Ki is the life force that runs and flows through every living thing – people, animals, plants, oceans, forests, mountains, all that is.

A Reiki practitioner serves as a conduit for this powerful, yet gentle, spiritual energy that supports your animal through its healing process. Within that process occurs a deepening of the connection and relationship between humans and their animal companions.

Reiki is perfect for animals for many reasons. You do not need to physically touch an animal during a treatment for them to receive or take what ever they might need. Reiki complements any and all healing modalities and will not interfere with medicines.

From physical issues to behavioral issues, an animal can be healed and/or supported by the use and practice of Reiki. It can be offered anywhere, anytime, from any location, and requires no special equipment.
